Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Underground Construction and will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including labor, material, and equipment costs. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for underground construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
2. Evaluate and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather information about the type and cost of the resources required for a project.
4. Review and assess cost estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual obligations.
5. Participate in proposal presentations, project meetings, and contract negotiations as required.
6. Maintain a comprehensive database of up-to-date cost estimating information to assist in future project planning and cost estimation.
7. Provide technical support and advice to project teams, including identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and recommending cost-effective solutions.
8. Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements in cost estimating techniques to ensure the company remains competitive.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the Engineering industry, with a focus on Underground Construction.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3. Proficient in the use of cost estimating software and tools.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately calculate and analyze cost data.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
6. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
8. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in cost estimating.
9. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best possible cost for resources and services.
