We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Network Architect to join our team in the Energy industry. This role will require you to design, build, and maintain our company's data communication networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and intranets. You will also be responsible for designing innovative network infrastructure to meet the company's strategic objectives. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement functional network infrastructure.
  2. Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
  3. Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  4. Mentor team members on technical issues.
  5. Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
  6. Communicate with users when needed.
  7. Maintain complete technical documentation.
  8. Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven work experience as a Network Architect for a minimum of 5 years.
  2. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
  3. Familiarity with access control models and network security.
  4. Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl).
  5. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools).
  6. Solid background in network administration and architecture.
  7. Detailed knowledge and hands-on experience with SDWAN, Nexus 9k, Cisco FTD, routing, and switching.
  8. Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP) is a plus.
  9. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  10. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
