We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our dynamic engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects that will test and develop your welding skills. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, meeting quality standards, and maintaining safe work practices. This role is integral to our operations and requires a professional with a strong understanding of the engineering industry and a proven track record in Mig and Overhead welding.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
  2. Use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
  3. Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  4. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  5. Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  6. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  7. Prepare product for shipment.
  8. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and company policies.
  10. Train and mentor junior staff to enhance team performance and ensure project completion.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  2. Proven experience with Mig and Overhead welding.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  4. Willingness to learn and positive attitude.
  5. Strong knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  6. Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
  7. Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items and work overtime.
  8. In-depth knowledge of the construction and production process.
  9. Proficiency in English.
  10. Excellent attention to detail.
  11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  12. High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in engineering or relevant field is a plus.
