Job Details

Job Description:

Assist and provide a range of legal support and administration to lawyers and engaged in civil or administrative law.

Job Responsibilities:

Legal

  • File pleadings.
  • Manage attorney calendars.
  • Draft legal documents, such as subpoenas and discovery.
  • Help prepare legal applications, declarations and motions.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence.
  • Cross-check and validate information. Edit legal forms and documents for accuracy.
  • Help with trial and motion preparation, including witness lists, exhibits and trial binders.
  • Assist the lawyer in the courtroom.
  • Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations.
  • Perform legal and factual research.
  • Perform records research including CLEAR.

Administrative

  • Screen initial callers and schedule intake appointments.
  • Build and maintain files.
  • Coordinate law office activities such as subpoena delivery.
  • Locate and interview witnesses.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven history of success as a Litigation Paralegal
  • Known for great attention to detail
  • Experienced in eFiling and managing attorney's calendars
  • Great at writing and document drafting
  • Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certification preferred, not required
