Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

We're a growing civil litigation firm in the heart of Sacramento. Our attorneys defend public entities and private businesses in all types of tort cases, including accident cases. They are also deeply knowledgeable in complex civil rights, police liability and employment cases, including sexual harassment, equal protection, wrongful termination, and discrimination claims.

Must Have:

• Experience with Subpoenas
• Personal Injury Cases
• Experience with expert witness
• Must be okay seeing images/videos that could be disturbing (counties and police)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage heavy caseload in a civil litigation environment, ensuring timely progress on all cases.
• Provide full trial support, including preparing exhibits, drafting motions, and coordinating trial logistics.
• Utilize Casemap or other document coding software to organize and manage case documents effectively.
• Draft and issue subpoenas, including those for medical records.
• Assist in preparing expert witnesses, including managing disclosures, depositions, and expert reports.
• Collaborate with attorneys to conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Maintain meticulous records of case files, deadlines, and court requirements.
• Meet and exceed a monthly billing goal of 120 hours.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Proficiency with Casemap or similar document coding software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with trial preparation and support, including working with expert witnesses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet billing expectations.
