Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Our prestigious legal firm is actively seeking a dedicated and seasoned Permanent Estates and Trust Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing paralegal support to our attorneys in the area of estates and trusts. This role requires a deep understanding of estate planning, estate tax, and estate law. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting and reviewing various legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills.
  2. Reviewing and reconciling bank statements and main accountings related to estate and trust matters.
  3. Conducting comprehensive research on various legal matters pertaining to estates and trusts.
  4. Assisting with the e-filing of legal documents and ensuring all documents are correctly notarized.
  5. Providing support in the administration of estates and trusts, including the preparation of probate court documents and estate tax returns.
  6. Communicating with clients, court personnel, and other professionals to coordinate and expedite matters.
  7. Maintaining an organized system for case files and ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible.
  8. Staying updated with changes in estate law and estate planning to provide accurate information and advice.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in the area of estates and trusts.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of estate law, estate planning, and estate tax.
  3. Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills.
  4. Experience in reviewing and reconciling bank statements and main accountings.
  5. Excellent research skills with the ability to interpret and apply legal principles.
  6. Familiarity with e-filing systems and the process of notarizing documents.
  7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  9. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
  10. Paralegal certification from an accredited program would be an advantage.
