Our prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Permanent Estates and Trust Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive support to our attorneys and high net worth clients in the area of estate and trust administration. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of estate law, estate planning, estate tax, and living wills. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a team of high-performing professionals in a fast-paced and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on various legal matters related to estates and trusts.
  • Prepare and file legal documents electronically.
  • Notarize documents as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of estate tax returns and other related documents.
  • Manage personal trust accounts and estate planning documents.
  • Liaise with high net worth clients, providing them with comprehensive support and assistance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all client needs are met and all legal procedures are followed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in estate law and tax regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage deadlines, ensuring all legal documents are submitted on time.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and managing correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Estates and Trust Paralegal.
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
  • Certified Paralegal (CP) or Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of estate law, estate planning, estate tax, and living wills.
  • Proficiency in e-filing and notarizing documents.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle high net worth clients with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
