Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 per year

Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Permanent Associate Attorney to join our highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cases from inception through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing and advising clients on legal transactions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Represent clients in civil and commercial litigation cases, including trial litigation and insurance defense.
  2. Conduct legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, legal articles, legal decisions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, etc., for trial, presentation before courts, or other legal proceedings.
  3. Develop litigation strategies, negotiate with opposing counsel, prepare and present cases in court.
  4. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
  5. Maintain a strong client relationship by providing excellent customer service, including managing and meeting client expectations.
  6. Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
  7. Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure a proactive and efficient case management process.
Job Details

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the State Bar and good standing.
  3. Minimum 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, trial litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense.
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
  10. Ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
  11. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate compromise.
  12. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
