Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role will also involve managing various accounting operations, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
- Oversee all daily accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Work closely with the management team to share reports and analysis findings.
- Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment strategy.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA or related qualification is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Excellent administration skills and a thorough understanding of Sage accounting software.
- Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to analyze and understand financial data.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
