Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of IT Operations to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, responsible for the overall management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure for our company. A key part of this role will be to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of project management, operations, manufacturing, and dashboards.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.
2. Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
3. Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
4. Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments.
5. Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
6. Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
7. Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
8. Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
9. Establish lines of control for current and proposed information systems.
10. Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and business/industry, with at least 3 years of leadership responsibilities.
3. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organization design and development.
4. Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
5. Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service-level agreement accomplishments.
6. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware.
7. Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
8. Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
9. Good understanding of IT systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
10. Excellent understanding of project management principles.
11. Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
12. Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
13. In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT.
14. Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
15. Proven leadership ability.
16. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
17. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
18. Excellent interpersonal skills.
19. Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
20. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
