We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive individual to join our dynamic team as a Consulting Medical Front Desk professional. This role is central to our operations, bridging the gap between patients and healthcare professionals. You will be integral in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for all who visit our medical facility. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare and a knack for administrative tasks. Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Medical Front Desk professional, you will be responsible for:

  1. Welcoming patients and visitors to the facility and providing them with general information regarding processes and policies.
  2. Checking patients in and out of the facility, ensuring a smooth transition for them.
  3. Managing patient scheduling, including confirming appointments, rescheduling when necessary, and managing waitlists.
  4. Verifying patient insurance information and updating records as necessary.
  5. Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  6. Coordinating with medical professionals to ensure patient needs are met and the schedule is maintained.
  7. Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area to foster a welcoming environment.
  8. Assisting with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical front desk position or similar role.
  2. Proficiency in using medical software for scheduling and record-keeping.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Experience with insurance verification and understanding of medical billing processes.
  6. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  7. A patient-focused approach and the ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
  8. High school diploma or equivalent. A certification in medical administration is a plus.
