Job Details

Your Role:

  • Manage Tax Department: Oversee tax compliance and tax provision processes for pass-through and C-corporation entities, with an emphasis on manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, and professional services. Our clients are primarily closely held, entrepreneurial companies and their owners.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of entity and individual tax returns.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop, build, and manage strong client relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored tax solutions.
  • Team Development: Assist in managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Workflow Management: Collaborate in a team environment to manage the workflow of products through the tax department efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax compliance and planning for various entity types, including pass-through and C-corporations. Familiarity with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading and developing teams, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Client Service Orientation: Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service and building long-term client relationships.
