Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 per year

Health insurance is currently provided under a high-deductible HMO or PPO plan with a Health Savings Account.

The Firm fully funds the premium for the HMO plan, and you may pay the additional premium for the PPO plan and/or fund the Health Savings Account.

Disability: The Firm will provide a short-term and long-term disability policy.

401(k) plan: Eligibility is based on date of hire.

The Firm matches contributions up to 3% of compensation.

Vacation: 20 personal days plus one additional tax day annually.

Parking: Parking fees are paid by the firm for spaces designated by the firm.

Job Details

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our tax planning and compliance services, providing expert tax advice to our diverse client base, and mentoring junior staff. This role requires a blend of technical skill, managerial experience, and a passion for providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of corporate, individual, trust, and partnership tax returns.
  • Stay abreast of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
  • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent client service.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects.
  • Assess the performance of staff for engagement reviews; provide coaching and guidance.
  • Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and budget for projects.
  • Engage in business development initiatives to expand the firm's client base.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
  • At least 7 years of progressive tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.
  • Proficient in corporate, individual, partnership, and trust taxation.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Proven leadership and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to developing others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
