Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the establishment and management of cost accounting systems, methods, procedures, and controls.
  2. Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy of our inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
  3. Prepare, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by product, by customer type.
  4. Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward, and cost analysis.
  5. Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance, and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and other.
  6. Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
  7. Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
  8. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division.
  9. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
  10. Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others.
  11. Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  3. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  4. Proven experience in Inventory Analysis is essential.
  5. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  6. Experience with ERP systems, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  7. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively interact with both finance and non-finance personnel.
  9. Strong organizational skills, capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  10. Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  11. Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
