We are searching for a skilled and dedicated Construction Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Construction Project Accountant, you'll play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring their financial success from start to finish. You'll work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing them with accurate, timely financial information and insights to guide decision-making. Responsibilities:

As a Construction Project Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Collaborating with project managers to develop project budgets and financial plans.
  3. Tracking and analyzing project costs, identifying any variances, and taking appropriate action to ensure project financial objectives are met.
  4. Preparing timely, accurate financial reports for project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management.
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  6. Managing project cash flow and ensuring timely payment of invoices.

Qualifications:

To be successful as a Construction Project Accountant, you will need:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation would be an asset.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices, including project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  4. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
