Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance and project engineers, to improve plant efficiency and troubleshoot issues.
  • Design and implement mechanical layouts to solve operational challenges and optimize production flows.
  • Lead and support capital projects, including developing scope, budgets, and installation plans.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of production lines by quickly responding to technical issues on the floor.
  • Develop and document detailed equipment specifications, operation procedures, and maintenance practices.
  • Engage with vendors to gather quotes, negotiate costs, and manage relationships for technical solutions.
  • Utilize online resources and networks to continuously identify process improvement opportunities.

What you need for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in plant engineering or a similar role, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in PLC controls with a mechanical mindset, coupled with solid knowledge of packaging and industrial equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, energize cross-functional teams, and ensure timely execution of engineering solutions.
  • Proficient in software tools, including CAD, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing technical presentations.
