We are currently on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced, high-energy team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our company's financial success while honing your leadership skills. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, managing the day-to-day operations of our accounting team, and ensuring that our financial data is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and year-end process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
  2. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  3. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  5. Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  6. Meet financial accounting objectives.
  7. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  8. Develop and implement business strategies to achieve short and long-term financial objectives.
  9. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the accounting team.
  10. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  1. A CPA certification is required.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the real estate industry.
  3. Proficiency in GAAP and other financial accounting standards.
  4. Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting principles.
  5. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective business strategies.
  6. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  7. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  10. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
