We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage our company's financial operations. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our accounting department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Profit and Loss Balancing, and Cash Flow Management. You will be expected to maintain a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of financial transactions. This position reports directly to the CFO and will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as we continue to enhance our quality programming and build capacity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
  2. Manage the activities of the accounts payable department to ensure the accurate and timely payment of invoices, purchase orders, etc.
  3. Oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash receipts, and collections.
  4. Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results for each department.
  5. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
  6. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities.
  7. Oversee the preparation and management of company-wide budgets.
  8. Prepare and present financial reports for managers and stakeholders.
  9. Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
  10. Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the finance department.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  3. Proven experience in managing a team.
  4. Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
  6. Experience with accounting software and systems.
  7. Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  8. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  12. Strong business and common sense.
