We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Accounting Manager to join our high-performing finance team. This full-time, permanent role will provide you with the opportunity to utilize and further develop your accounting skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and providing financial analysis that will aid in key decision making.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  2. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures.
  3. Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, financial reports, and forecasts, providing insights and analysis when necessary.
  4. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
  5. Collaborate with the finance team and other business units to support overall company goals and objectives.
  6. Engage in cost management and productivity improvement initiatives.
  7. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  8. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment strategy.
  9. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
  10. Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with accounting software.
  5. Strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  6. Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  10. Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
