Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent position, with a focus on the 2nd or 3rd shift. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our operations. You will be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's facilities. Your leadership skills and your broad expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will assist our organization in increasing efficiency, improving the quality of operations, and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling and execution of all maintenance work. This includes creating employee schedules and ensuring that all tasks are performed on time and to a high standard.
  • Utilize your strong mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment. This includes everything from routine maintenance to diagnosing complex mechanical issues.
  • Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues before they become problems. This includes regularly inspecting facilities, evaluating maintenance work, and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Understand and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. This will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Use JD Edwards or similar software for maintenance planning and record keeping. This includes tracking work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance, and managing spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. This includes training staff on safety protocols and ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with other team leaders to ensure that all maintenance activities are coordinated with production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role in the engineering industry.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar maintenance planning software.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and coordinate work schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • A strong commitment to safety, with a proven track record of promoting safe work practices.
  • Ability to work the 2nd or 3rd shift, as required.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in a related field would be considered an asset.
