We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and motivated Maintenance Supervisor for the 2nd shift in our manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the optimal performance of our mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. This role is instrumental in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and quality of our operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a pivotal role in our team, overseeing the maintenance of our facilities and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a permanent position that requires a strong commitment to excellence, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and other building systems.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
  • Supervise the work of maintenance technicians and provide them with technical advice and support when needed.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for improving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through on-the-job training or experience.
  • At least five years of experience working or supervising in the vocation trades, including but not necessarily limited to HVAC, Electrical/Electronics, and Mechanical.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate employees.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching employees.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, with a strong commitment to company values.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
