Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Thermal Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the space industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects that will push the boundaries of space exploration. The successful candidate will have a strong background in thermal analysis & testing for aerospace, automotive, or space products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting comprehensive thermal analysis and testing to support the design and development of advanced spacecraft systems.
  2. Developing and implementing thermal models for a variety of applications within spacecraft systems.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that thermal considerations are integrated into overall system designs.
  4. Leading the execution of thermal testing procedures, including the setup, operation, and data analysis of thermal test equipment.
  5. Providing technical expertise and guidance on thermal issues, as well as developing innovative solutions to complex thermal challenges.
  6. Documenting and presenting thermal analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Continually monitoring and staying current on the latest advancements in thermal engineering, and applying this knowledge to improve our processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal engineering, with a focus on aerospace, automotive, or ideally spacecraft
  3. Proven experience in conducting thermal analysis and testing, and in developing thermal models.
  4. Strong knowledge of thermal engineering principles and practices, as well as a deep understanding of thermal dynamics in the context of manufacturing systems.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex thermal challenges.
  6. Proficiency in using thermal analysis software and tools, and in operating thermal test equipment.
