Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

Job Details

The successful candidate will represent community associations, including homeowners associations (HOAs) and condominium associations, in a wide range of litigation matters. This role requires a deep understanding of Florida community association law and strong litigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent community associations in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Advise HOA and condominium boards on legal matters and governance issues
  • Interpret and enforce association bylaws, covenants, and restrictions
  • Handle disputes between associations and homeowners or between homeowners
  • Assist with collections and foreclosure actions
  • Provide guidance on corporate governance and compliance issues
  • Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership and good standing with the Florida Bar
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in community association law and litigation
  • Strong knowledge of Florida statutes relating to HOAs and condominiums
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of successful litigation outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with real estate law and construction defect litigation
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods
  • Spanish language proficiency
