Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Condominium Association Transactional Attorney.

This role focuses on working closely with condominium developers, condominium associations, and related stakeholders in the creation, management, and revision of condominium documents.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of condominium law, real estate transactions, and regulatory compliance, and will have experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of agreements and documents relevant to condominium development and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and revise condominium governing documents, including declarations, bylaws, rules and regulations, management agreements, and other legal documents related to condominium development and operation.
  • Advise condominium developers on legal requirements and best practices related to the formation, structuring, and management of condominium projects.
  • Represent condominium associations in negotiations and transactions, including the acquisition or sale of property, amendments to governing documents, and compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Provide legal counsel on matters related to developer turnover, reserve studies, assessments, maintenance obligations, and association governance.
  • Collaborate with developers, association boards, property managers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the resolution of disputes related to condominium associations, including litigation or mediation as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in condominium law and real estate regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to association boards, developers, and other parties on legal issues related to condominium development and governance.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, developers, and industry professionals to promote the firm’s services and reputation.

You Must Have:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the FL Bar Association.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on condominium law, community association law, or related practice areas.
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating condominium documents and advising clients on condominium development and management.
  • Strong understanding of state condominium statutes, property law, and relevant federal regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working with condominium developers or developers’ counsel.
  • Familiarity with construction law and development financing.
  • Experience with dispute resolution or litigation involving condominium associations.
