We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee all aspects of corporate taxation, including federal and state tax compliance, income tax accounting, tax planning, and tax audits to support a multi-generational family business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the corporation's tax obligations are met accurately and on time, while also identifying and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in corporate taxation, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of navigating complex tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate tax functions, including federal and state tax compliance, income tax accounting, and tax planning.
  2. Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
  3. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
  5. Manage tax audits and inquiries, responding to requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the corporation.
  7. Provide expert advice and guidance on tax matters to senior management and other stakeholders.
  8. Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring that they accurately reflect the corporation's tax obligations.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and other stakeholders.
  10. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns.
  5. Experience with tax planning and strategy development.
  6. Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and understandable manner.
  9. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  10. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
  11. Experience in tax accounting for high net worth corporations is a plus.
