Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing team. This role is specifically designed for an individual with a strong background in the construction industry, particularly in podium/mixed-use/multi-family projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost estimation process and will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our complex construction projects. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work with a team of seasoned professionals in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for podium, mixed-use, and multi-family construction projects.
2. Analyzing market trends and determining cost-effective solutions for market rate apartments, affordable housing, senior living, and mixed-use projects.
3. Managing the bid process, including hard bid and negotiated GMP, to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
4. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective strategies.
5. Utilizing your expertise in SOG, Type I, and Type III construction to provide accurate and reliable estimates.
6. Reviewing and analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
7. Presenting and explaining project estimates to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in estimating for podium, mixed-use, and multi-family projects.
2. Proven experience in managing the bid process, including hard bid and negotiated GMP.
3. In-depth knowledge of market rate apartments, affordable housing, senior living, and mixed-use projects.
4. Familiarity with SOG, Type I, and Type III construction.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Proficiency in using estimating software and other related computer applications.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
