Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Payroll Specialist, your day-to-day tasks will involve a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Processing and managing payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilizing your 10-key skills to enter payroll data quickly and accurately.
- Auditing payroll records and reports for correctness and making any necessary adjustments.
- Issuing paychecks and managing direct deposits for employees.
- Maintaining employee personnel files, ensuring they are up to date and comply with privacy laws.
- Providing expert consulting services to clients on payroll-related matters, including tax regulations, payroll processes, and best practices.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee inquiries about payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Payroll Specialist position will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll, data entry, and auditing.
- Proficiency in 10-key data entry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including issuing paychecks and maintaining employee personnel files.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice on payroll-related matters.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to payroll and employee data.
- Experience with payroll software and systems is preferred.
