Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Payroll Administrator, you will:

  1. Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system and setup each employee, ensuring proper time recording.
  2. Review and verify timesheets and work schedules for accuracy.
  3. Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  4. Coordinate with HR to ensure correct employee data.
  5. Handle the calculation of wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
  6. Prepare and submit reports on payroll to the upper management.
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  8. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll.
  9. Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to the supervisor.
  10. Collaborate with the finance and human resources departments to align and reconcile payroll data.
  11. Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  12. Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in payroll administration.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration.
  3. Strong experience in the nonprofit industry is required.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
  5. Experience with payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex.
  6. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  9. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  10. Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal payroll and tax laws.
  11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
