We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Payroll Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, employee benefits, and HRIS systems. You will be responsible for managing all payroll-related tasks for our organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer and process all aspects of payroll using ADP Enterprise Payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  4. Coordinate with HR department to ensure correct employee benefits, 401K, and FMLA administration.
  5. Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
  6. Generate accurate reports for upper management and auditors.
  7. Handle employee relations concerning payroll, answering any questions or concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest payroll and tax changes, ensuring the company is in compliance with all regulations.
  9. Assist in implementing payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll position, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  2. Proficient in ADP Enterprise Payroll and HRIS systems.
  3. In-depth knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  4. Strong understanding of multi-state payroll and tax regulations.
  5. Experience in administering benefits and 401K plans.
  6. Familiarity with FMLA and other employee benefit laws and regulations.
  7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  9. A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  10. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
