Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Report Development: Design, develop, and enhance complex SSRS reports and dashboards that cater to the specific reporting needs of various business units and stakeholders.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources and databases to create comprehensive and unified reporting solutions.
  • Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models to support efficient reporting and analytics, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Performance Tuning: Identify performance bottlenecks in reports and take necessary actions to optimize and improve report execution times.
  • Data Visualization: Utilize data visualization best practices to present data in a clear, visually appealing, and user-friendly manner.
  • Report Automation: Develop automated report generation processes to ensure timely delivery and reduce manual effort.
  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable reports that provide valuable insights.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing of reports to ensure accuracy and validate data against source systems.
  • Security and Access Control: Implement appropriate security measures to control access to sensitive data in reports and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for developed reports, data models, and processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for report-related issues to end-users and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and managing SSRS reports and related technologies.
  • SQL Expertise: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques.
  • SSRS Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and its various features for report design and deployment.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Data Integration: Experience with data integration from various sources and understanding of ETL processes.
  • Data Visualization Tools: Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and gather/report requirements effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify and resolve technical issues related to reporting solutions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Team Player: Strong team collaboration skills with a positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in report development, testing, and documentation.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft SQL Server certification (e.g., MCSA: SQL Server) or equivalent.
