Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 per year

We are representing a well-established law firm based in California that is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join their team in Oakland!

• Manage multiple complex construction and real estate litigation cases
• Propose litigation strategy and offer legal advice to clients regarding construction and real estate disputes
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Draft reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and trials
• Provide guidance on construction and real estate contracts to mitigate risk and support project success

Requirements:

• Annual minimum billable hours requirement is 1610, with the opportunity to earn a bonus for hours worked in excess of the minimum.
• JD degree from an accredited law school
• Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar
• 5+ years of litigation background, preferably with extensive experience in construction disputes; construction contract negotiation and drafting experience is a plus
• Excellent legal writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, legal documents, correspondence, and reports
