We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This role will offer you an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in managing construction projects in the Commercial, Industrial, and School sectors. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Superintendent, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle including planning, execution, and completion.
  2. Supervising onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, material control, and day-to-day activities of the construction site.
  3. Ensuring all construction activities align with project specifications and quality standards.
  4. Coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  5. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
  6. Managing and resolving any issues, disputes, or discrepancies that may arise during the construction process.
  7. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications.
  8. Developing and implementing detailed project schedules and communicating updates and progress to all stakeholders.
  9. Creating and maintaining a safe work environment by implementing good housekeeping regulations and safety requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  2. Proven experience in managing construction projects in the Commercial, Industrial, and School sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  4. Excellent knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
  5. Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to supervise and guide a team.
  6. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent decision-making skills.
  7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  8. Proficiency in construction management software.
  9. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  10. Certification as a Construction Superintendent or in a relevant field will be an advantage.
