Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering the chance to manage and oversee a variety of construction projects ranging from commercial, industrial, and school projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a specific focus on these sectors. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Construction Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
- Allocating resources for assigned projects.
- Supervising onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Interfacing with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Ensuring project operations are in compliance with design specifications and government regulations.
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determining needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards.
- Reporting on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Construction Project Manager role will have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- Proficient in construction management software.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
