Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in our financial department, providing crucial support to our operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Manufacturing industry, where you will be integral in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Conducting month-end and year-end closures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
3. Completing account reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
4. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
5. Analyzing financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
6. Reviewing and updating the company's financial policies and procedures.
7. Assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and providing support to auditors.
8. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
3. Solid understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, is required. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP is a plus.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
