We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting and financial duties as assigned. This role is a full-time position and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
  2. Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
  3. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  4. Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  5. Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  6. Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
  7. Assist in the preparation of annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
  8. Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
  9. Continually improve the speed and accuracy of processes and develop reports to improve company-wide financial efficiency and profitability.
  10. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  4. Solid understanding of GAAP and regulations.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with financial reporting software.
  6. Strong experience in both the private and public accounting sectors.
  7. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
  9. Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
  10. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  11. Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
  12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  13. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
