Job Details

We are currently searching for a highly skilled and dynamic Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial accounting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and fixed assets. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial management and strategic planning processes.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be entrusted with a diverse array of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

1. Overseeing the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness, and preparing necessary adjustments.
2. Managing fixed assets accounting, including recording acquisitions and disposals, calculating depreciation, and reconciling the balance in the fixed assets ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
3. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
4. Conducting regular account reconciliations to detect any discrepancies.
5. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyzing financial variances by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
6. Preparing financial statements and reports to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
7. Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
8. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
9. Participating in cross-functional projects and assisting other finance team members as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in financial accounting, including knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
4. Strong experience in managing general ledgers, performing account reconciliations, and handling fixed assets.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and experience with accounting software.
7. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
9. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
