Our firm is seeking a highly motivated, junior level Associate Attorney specializing in Asbestos Defense to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful, growing legal practice and work with a team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of asbestos defense cases from inception through to resolution.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and prepare for trial.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments related to asbestos and toxic tort law.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all legal proceedings.
  • Provide exceptional client service, including regular status updates and prompt responses to inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 2-4 years of experience in asbestos defense.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
