Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver, possessing the ability to analyze complex systems and create innovative solutions. This role involves the development and implementation of software for our cutting-edge products. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work on a variety of projects, ranging from new product development to improving existing products.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement firmware for our products, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
3. Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
4. Conduct system-level integration and verification testing.
5. Maintain and improve existing codebases.
6. Provide post-production support when necessary.
7. Stay updated on new technology trends and advancements in the field of firmware engineering.
8. Create and maintain documentation, such as design and test plans, for each project.
9. Ensure the efficient performance of all firmware and hardware systems.
10. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in firmware development, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in Integrated Development Environments (IDE).
4. Experience with micropressor or equivalent.
5. Strong knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller architectures.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
11. Experience with version control systems, such as Git, is a plus.
12. Familiarity with hardware design and testing methodologies would be advantageous.
