Job Details

As a senior accountant with Our Client, you will be working directly with Our Client's clients either at their site or in the office. You will take direct responsibility for communicating with a client regarding their transactional accounting items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

For Our Clients, Clients – duties may vary by client:

Accounts Receivable:

Create invoices using QuickBooks (or other client software)

Review the AR aging to ensure that there are no long-outstanding invoices

Support clients with follow-up with customers on outstanding invoices

Accounts Payable:

Process AP invoices

Review employee expense reports for proper classification and payment

Prepare checks for the client

General Ledger / Assist with the month-end close process, which includes:

Preparation of journal entries, accruals

Month-end account reconciliations

Bank and credit card account reconciliations

Reporting and account analysis:

Manage the monthly close process to produce timely, accurate, and valid financial information

Review or prepare financial statements and supporting reconciliations, analysis, and work papers

Review or prepare management reporting packages, budgets and forecasts

Audit and statutory support:

Prepare supporting schedules for financial reviews and annual audit

Prepare excise and property tax filings

Payroll Processing:

Compile and update employee information in the payroll system

Process payroll as needed by clients in the payroll system

Provide support to clients as required for special payroll items, quarterly reporting needs, and W-2 processing

For Our Client:

Direct initial assessments, implementations, and onboarding of new clients

Deliver excellent customer service to foster an environment of long-term relationships

Scheduling time with client to complete tasks

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Work Experience:

Associate degree in Accounting

BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting – preferred

Strong understanding or certification of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.

Experience with other accounting software and programs is preferred but not required.

Experience with payroll processing is preferred but not required

Analytical and problem-solving skills, highly detail-oriented and organized

Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships

Ability to identify and effectively communicate accounting matters to appropriate staff

Ability to identify performance improvement opportunities

Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Strong understanding of and experience utilizing the Windows operating system and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
