Job Details

Responsible for overall supply chain materials management. Maintain overall plan and strategy for ensuring timely materials replenishment required to support the R&D, clinical, and eventual commercial demand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Own the inventory/enterprise management system maintenance/lifecycle activities.
  • Partner with Sourcing to implement an efficient product supply replenishment strategy.
  • Work with finance, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing team to find best vendors and distributors.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to manage inventory to target levels.
  • Maintain/adjust resources to drive the most optimized system suggested by supply plan.
  • Participate in the development, revision and accuracy of production plans. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Determine key Planning and Forecasting KPIs, track KPI progress, and report KPI results.
  • Monitor inventory, generate and communicate reports for quantity, lot status, expiration dates etc. to all functional stakeholders.
  • Understand the end-to-end supply chain, capacities, lead times & bottlenecks to ensure an efficient plan.
  • Lead or participate in planning improvement projects.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding specs, prioritization, shipping discrepancies, etc.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
  • Build and maintain great relationships with 3rd parties and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage in conjunction with Quality Assurance the disposition of GMP raw materials and final product.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Understand and implement safety procedures in conjunction with EHS.
  • Create and/or update area standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations in consultation with Facilities and Quality Assurance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in movement of supplies, warehouse level optimization, and kitting processes.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Office software and PC Skills required.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, including making sound decisions and managing priorities that are in alignment with site and company directives.
  • Ability to mentor and direct junior team members.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work off hours and weekends.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or similar

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of previous experience in a supply chain capacity
  • 4+ years of supply chain management experience
  • Prefer new facility start-up experience.
  • Preferred: APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification
  • Preferred: GMP Supply Chain Experience
