We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is ideally suited to a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who has a strong understanding of the financial needs and challenges of a manufacturing company. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, with a focus on bookkeeping, forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and managing financial statements. You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems for cost accounting, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
  • Review and analyze financial results, monitor variances, identify trends, and recommend actions to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and reporting.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with various departments and team members to ensure all financial and accounting duties are fulfilled.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and managing financial statements.
  • Solid experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
