Job Details

We are currently seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing both high-level accounting procedures and financial strategy. This role will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, budgeting, and much more. This position offers an excellent opportunity to significantly contribute to the company's financial health, growth, and overall success.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collection.
  • Conduct account reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the company budget, forecasting financial outcomes, and making recommendations for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct financial audits, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Provide management accounting reports for decision-making.
  • Perform cost accounting tasks, analyzing production costs and recommending changes.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other accounting software for data entry, financial analysis, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Develop financial models, conducting benchmarking and process analysis.
  • Perform risk management, identifying financial risks and ways to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline functions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying best practices to areas of improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, account reconciliation, budgeting, preparing financial statements, financial accounting, managing accounts receivable, conducting financial audits, management accounting, cost accounting, and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with other accounting software.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as well as industry standards.
