Job Details

We are actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting budget analysis, and managing financial audits. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
  2. Conduct regular ledger procedures, account reconciliation, and manage accounts receivable.
  3. Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention.
  4. Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  5. Conduct regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
  6. Forecast quarterly and annual profits and advise on budgeting and financial planning strategies.
  7. Develop and maintain financial models for decision support.
  8. Implement and adhere to internal controls while suggesting improvements for efficiency and spending.
  9. Assist in the development of financial policies, procedures, and systems.
  10. Perform cost accounting and management accounting tasks.
  11. Utilize Microsoft Excel for complex financial reporting and analysis.
  12. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
  5. Solid experience in account reconciliation, budgeting, preparing financial statements, and financial auditing.
  6. In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, cost accounting, and bookkeeping.
  7. Proven expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, and risk management.
  8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  12. CPA certification is a plus.
