The Inside Sales Representative will function as the primary contact, responsible for maintaining profitably growing business for the client. This includes identifying, screening and qualifying new business opportunities to maximize value proposition, coordinating the follow-through needed to close new business and developing/implementing initiatives to proactively identify and prevent potential erosion of current business.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide product recommendations as needed to customers based on material needs and application requirements.
  • Receive and review customer orders prior to order confirmation while screening information for accuracy and all necessary data.
  • Communicate regularly and broadly, to ensure smooth cross-functional flow of information across regional sales, product development, customer service, manufacturing, and other global partners.
  • Identify new business growth opportunities within assigned customer base to develop new sales following product, pricing, and market strategies.
  • Establish and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Understand key players, influencers throughout the value chain, applications, requirements, trends/opportunities, and needs as well as overall business potential at customers.
  • Operate CRM and ensure accurate information is available.
  • Manage a database of potential customers/inbound inquiries to identify new business opportunities within assigned region.
  • Proactively follow-up to obtain customer feedback on quotes.
  • Identify potential competitive threats to existing business.
  • Develop, execute, and manage sales plans and budgets and forward-looking views (forecast).
  • Develop and track customer information regarding, product, price, incoterms, documents, and other key data.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, building rapport, and providing technical solutions.
  • Develop accounts by understanding and monitoring customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Provide support for outside sales, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • At least of 3 years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of plastics a plus
  • Prior CRM software experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to travel to customers, up to 5-10% as needed
