Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Quality Control Manager (QCM)/Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)/ Superintendent to join our team. This exciting role involves working on high-profile construction projects and ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and environmental standards are met. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, particularly in relation to infrastructure/environmental projects, and be well-versed in quality management for contractors.

Responsibilities:

As a QCM/SSHO/Superintendent, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  1. Overseeing all aspects of quality control, safety, and environmental management on construction projects.
  2. Ensuring compliance with the Department of Defense (DOD), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) regulations.
  3. Implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Control System (QCS) and Safety Management System (SMS).
  4. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure all safety measures are in place, including fall protection.
  5. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
  6. Preparing and submitting regular reports on safety, quality control, and environmental management to relevant stakeholders.
  7. Providing training and guidance to site workers on safety protocols and quality control procedures.
  8. Responding to any emergencies or incidents on site, ensuring all necessary protocols are followed and reports are filed as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the QCM/SSHO/Superintendent role will have:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically with government or federal projects.
  2. Proven experience in Quality Control Management (QCM), Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) duties, and Superintendent roles.
  3. Strong knowledge of environmental management within the construction industry.
  4. Proficiency in relevant regulations, including those of the DOD, USACE, and NAVFAC.
  5. Experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Control Systems (QCS) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  6. Excellent understanding of safety protocols, including fall protection.
  7. Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  8. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and guide site workers.
  9. The ability to respond effectively to emergencies and incidents on site.
  10. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong focus on ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety at all times.
