Job Details

Our law firm is actively seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their award-winning firm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and equitable distribution.

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel to clients in all areas of family law, including but not limited to child custody, child support, adoption, and equitable distribution.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand their needs, provide legal advice, and develop a strategic plan to achieve their objectives.
  • Prepare, draft, and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, presenting evidence and arguments effectively to protect client interests.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to stay updated on the latest developments in family law.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on case progress, and ensuring that they receive high-quality, personalized service.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to ensure a comprehensive approach to client representation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in family law, with proven expertise in child custody, child support, adoption, and equitable distribution.
  • Licensed in North Carolina.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and formulate effective legal strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
