Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Liability Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in professional liability defense, possess strong litigation skills, and be well-versed in California laws and regulations. This role requires an individual who can manage complex cases, provide legal guidance, and represent clients in various industries. The candidate must be licensed to practice in California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and defend professional liability cases from inception through resolution, including preparing legal pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis of relevant laws, regulations, and case law to build effective legal strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents such as motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations, representing clients in various legal settings.
• Work closely with clients to assess case strategies, provide legal guidance, and offer sound recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategy development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California’s professional liability laws and court procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards at all times.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars effectively to meet client and court deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional liability litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of California’s legal framework surrounding professional liability.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with litigation management software is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in defending professionals such as lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers, and other licensed professionals.
• Experience handling cases related to malpractice, errors and omissions, or professional negligence claims.
