Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

1. Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
3. Inspecting and replacing faulty parts such as motors, belts, drives, and filters.
4. Performing welding tasks when required and repairing minor electrical faults.
5. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company safety protocols.
6. Documenting all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
7. Assisting in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
8. Collaborating with other team members and departments to improve processes and solve complex problems.
9. Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
3. Proficiency in welding and minor electrical repairs.
4. Working knowledge of motors, drives, belts, and filters.
5. Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. High school diploma or equivalent. A relevant certification or associate degree is a plus.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
