Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Controller to join our team. This role will be a key leadership position within our finance department and will report directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a proven ability to manage financial controls, reporting, and analysis. This role will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to shape the financial future of our company, working with senior management to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.
• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
• Contribute to decisions regarding financial strategy and operations.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including external auditors and tax advisors.
• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
• Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
• Supervise all finance personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate controller role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems is required.
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
• An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
• Solid leadership and management skills with a demonstrated ability to build a positive and productive team environment.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.
