We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent with a strong background in the commercial construction industry. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader with extensive knowledge in various trades such as electric, plumbing, and mechanical, coupled with a proven track record in managing construction projects from conception to completion. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycles, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all operations on the construction site and ensuring that work is done safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Supervising crews of various trades such as electric, plumbing, and mechanical.
  • Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports.
  • Developing and implementing quality control programs.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets.
  • Effectively liaising with clients, construction professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Implementing cost control measures to ensure project profitability.
  • Managing project activities to meet project objectives, including procurement, scheduling, productivity, quality, and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
  • Proven experience in supervising crews and managing construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and construction documents.
  • Excellent ability to manage project scheduling and budgeting.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety management principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in construction management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
